Maruti e Vitara vs Tata Curvv specifications compared Both are offered with two battery options The e Vitara has both 2WD and 4WD setups While Curvv EV offers a certified range of 500 km
Maruti Suzuki has a clear intention of launching a new electric SUV - the e Vitara in India, which recently made its debut in Europe. The e Vitara is the production version of the eVX concept. It is the strongest rival of the Tata Curvv EV which is already on sale in the Indian market. Both electric SUVs are offered with two battery packs. However, the new e Vitara is more powerful than the Currv EV. To understand better, take a look at the specifications comparison of both EVs.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara comes with two battery packs. Its smaller 49kWh battery pack gets single-motor mounted on the front-axle which can produce 142 bhp of power and 189 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 61 kWh battery can push out 171 bhp via a front-axle-mounted motor and 65 bhp via a rear-axle-mounted electric motor. The combined power of the larger battery is 181 bhp and the total torque power stands at 300 Nm.

Like the e Vitara, Tata Curvv EV is also offered with two battery units - 45 kWh and 55 kWh. The smaller unit is mated with a single electric motor which can churn out 147 bhp and 215 Nm of torque. Whereas the long-range battery, paired to an electric motor can offer 165 bhp with 215 Nm.

The Curvv EV offers an impressive range of 430 km with the medium-range battery while its long range battery unit delivers 502 km of certified range. For the e Vitara, the accurate range is yet to be revealed though we can expect it to offer around 500 km on a single charge. Comparing both EVs make us realize that the e Vitara is more powerful as it is offered with 4WD (ALLGRIP-e) drive setup which uses two separate eAxled at front and rear. This fives better control and handling during tough drives.
This should not be ignored that the specifications of the e Vitara revealed are European-based, while for the India-spec e Vitara, it is yet to be confirmed if both battery options will be offered.
