Maruti Suzuki has slashed the prices of Auto Gear Shift (AGS) variants of its select car models by Rs 5,000. These models include WagonR, S-Presso, Celerio, Alto K10, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, Ignis, and Fronx as well. The new prices of these Maruti cars have come into effect from June 1, 2024.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 uses a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated engine, same as offered in other hatchbacks - Wagon R, S-Presso, and Celerio. However, the WagonR is also offered with a larger 1.2-litre engine.
Other car models such as Baleno, Ignis, and Dzire come equipped with the same 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. However, the Fronx is powered by two engine choices - 1.0-litre turbo petrol and the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated unit.
The most affordable Maruti car is the Alto K10 with a starting price of Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices for the other Maruti cars that have received price reductions are as follows:
S-Presso - Rs 4.26 lakh
Celerio - Rs 5.36 lakh
Wagon-R - Rs 5.54 lakh
Ignis - Rs 5.84 lakh
Swift - 6.49 lakh
Dzire - Rs 6.56 lakh
Baleno - Rs 6.66 lakh
Fronx - Rs 7.51 lakh
All prices are ex-showroom.
While Maruti reduced the prices for its aforementioned models, the brand has also increased the prices for Swift and Grand Vitara in April 2023. The Maruti Swift hatchback prices were hiked by Rs 25,000 while the price of the Grand Vitara mid-size SUV was increased by Rs 19,000.
