MG Majestor production starts at Halol, Gujarat Plant Bookings open at Rs 41,000 Launch likely in June 2026

JSW MG Motor India has announced the start-of-production of the MG Majestor SUV at its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat. Interested customers can pre-book the new SUV online at authorised MG dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 41,000. Initial customers will get benefit from priority deliveries, exclusive previews and curated experiential drives.

Launch Timeline and Estimated Price

MG hasn’t released the exact launch date for the new Majestor. Since its production begins, we expect the new MG Majestor to launch sometime in June 2026. The new SUV is likely to be priced around Rs 45 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom. It will directly rival the Toyota Fortuner, which is currently the most popular and top-seller SUV in the category.

Engine Specifications

Powering the MG Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that powers the Gloster. This engine produces 216bhp and 479Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The new Majestor will be equipped with a 4-wheel drive system and three off-road (terrain) modes - Rock, Sand and Snow.

The MG Majestor gets segment-first triple differential locks, enabling superior traction and precise control across challenging terrains. The SUV measures 5406mm in length, 2016mm in width and 1876mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2950mm. It is 61mm longer and 90mm wider than the Gloster.
