Spinny Partners With JSW MG Motor India to Create Certified Pre-Owned EV Ecosystem
Spinny and JSW MG Motor India partner for used EVs. The program focuses on battery health and certification. MG EVs will get a dedicated pre-owned sales channel.
The used electric vehicle market in India is set to become more organised as Spinny has partnered with JSW MG Motor India to create a certified pre-owned EV ecosystem.
The partnership aims to make second-hand electric vehicles easier to evaluate and purchase by focusing on battery health checks, vehicle certification and transparent pricing.
Focus on Battery Health and EV Certification
One of the biggest concerns with used electric vehicles is understanding the condition of the battery. Since the battery plays a major role in an EV’s performance, range and resale value, accurate assessment becomes important during resale.
Under this partnership, Spinny will introduce specialised EV evaluation processes with technical support from JSW MG Motor India. The process will include standard battery health checks and certification methods to provide better clarity about the vehicle’s condition.
The program will initially be available across major cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Coimbatore.

Used MG EVs to Get Certified Through Spinny
As part of the collaboration, customers will be able to buy certified pre-owned MG electric vehicles through Spinny’s online platform and physical car hubs.
The models included under this program are:
- MG Comet EV
- MG Windsor EV
- MG ZS EV
These vehicles will go through a 200-point inspection process before being listed. They will also come with OEM warranty continuity, fixed pricing and a five-day money-back guarantee.
EV Refurbishment Gets Special Attention
The vehicles sold through this program will undergo refurbishment at Spinny’s Integrated Restoration Centres.
These centres are being upgraded with EV-specific diagnostic tools and battery-related inspection processes. This will help ensure that used electric vehicles meet quality standards before reaching customers.
Partnership Aims to Improve Used EV Confidence
The resale market for electric vehicles is still developing in India, and concerns around battery life and future maintenance often affect decisions around used EVs.
Through this partnership, Spinny and JSW MG Motor India aim to bring more transparency to the process by offering certified vehicles with detailed checks and support.
Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India, said that creating a reliable pre-owned EV ecosystem will be important as the company continues to expand its electric vehicle portfolio.
Spinny Founder and CEO Niraj Singh highlighted that transparent battery diagnostics will play a key role in building trust around used electric vehicles.
A New Step for India’s Used EV Market
As more electric cars enter the market, the demand for certified pre-owned EVs is expected to grow. The Spinny and JSW MG Motor India partnership could help address some of the biggest challenges in used EV ownership by offering better checks, support and pricing transparency.
