The Indian subcompact sedan market is getting hot with the latest entrants, the 2025 Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and the Hyundai Aura in the market. All these three are in great demand among buyers as they offer comfort, features, and mileage. Here is a comparison of all three on mileage, main features, and price, to make a wiser decision.
The 2025 Honda Amaze features a 1.2-litre petrol unit with the delivery of 88.76 bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque. The available transmission is a 5-speed manual, as well as the option to get it in CVT form. Looking at the claimed mileage figures, this appears very promising. And, yes, delivers up to 18.65 kmpl if taken in the manual form. In the form of CVT, it delivers a mileage of 19.46 kmpl.
There's the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire with a new 1.2-litre petrol engine. It gives 80.87 bhp of power and 112 Nm of torque. It comes with both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The CNG variant is also available. The mileage of Dzire is at the claimed number, with the petrol manual at 24.79 kmpl and the petrol AMT doing 25.71 kmpl, while the CNG variant gives an incredible 33.73 km/kg.
Hyundai Aura shares the same 1.2-litre petrol engine with 81.86 bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque. It is available with both manual and AMT transmission. The petrol variants of Aura return between 19.4 kmpl and 20 kmpl and the CNG variant returns about 25 km/kg. Overall, Dzire is the most fuel-friendly of the three sedans.

As far as features are concerned, the Honda Amaze is fairly well-packed with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The automatic air conditioning, a semi-digital driver's display, and six airbags enhance the safety aspects of this car. However, the sunroof, as present in its peer models in the same rival category, is missing in it.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire has more features, which include a 9-inch touchscreen display along with the added feature of wireless connectivity of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The other feature in this model is cruise control, along with a first-in-segment sunroof, which makes this much more attractive. The Dzire from the car received a five-star rating given by Global NCAP, hence proving to be one of the safest cars in the lot.
Hyundai Aura has equipped itself with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic headlamps, and adequate leg room for passengers. It provides six airbags and electronic stability control. In terms of safety six airbags, ESC, hill start assist, a rear parking camera, TPMS, ISOFIX, and rear parking sensors are offered by Aura.

The price range varies with a significant difference. Honda Amaze is priced at Rs. 7.99 lakh to all way go up to Rs 10.90 lakh. It brings three-tier variants: VX, V, and ZX.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh for the base model LXi. The premium one is available at Rs. 10.14 lakh in the top variant ZXi Plus.
The price of the Hyundai Aura falls in the range of Rs. 6.49 lakh for E trim to the SX CNG version at Rs. 9.05 lakh.
Among these sedans, Dzire is the best in the strongest point from mileage to features and within the price range. However, individual preferences are to be viewed by those who are in search of a car purchase.
