Maruti Suzuk cars to get expensive from August 2026 Second price hike by Maruti in a period of 3 months
Maruti Suzuki has announced a fresh round of price hike of its vehicle range. The Maruti cars are set to receive an increase in price by up to Rs 30,000. The new prices will be effective from August 2026. This will be the second price hike by MSIL in a period of 3 months. For people not in the know, Maruti Suzuki had increased the prices of its vehicle range by up to Rs 30,000 in June 2026.
Maruti Suzuki said it had been making efforts over the past few months to mitigate the impact of rising costs through various cost-reduction measures. However, the elevated input cost inflation and the adverse cost environment persisting has compelled Maruti Suzuki to pass on a part of the increased costs to customers.
The exact price change will vary depending on the specific model and variant. Not just Maruti Suzuki, multiple brands including Mahindra, BYD and Tata Motors have already announced price hike in recent weeks. All brands have stated that the rising input costs and an elevated inflation are the reasons behind price rise.
