The MY2026 will get a new turbo-petrol engine and bigger touchscreen. It’s expected to witness a minor price increase.
The new Maruti Brezza facelift is set to go on sale in India tomorrow – July 24, 2026. It’s the second-generation model, which was launched in 2022, is receiving the first major update. While the official design changes, feature upgrades and engine specifications will be revealed at launch, several leaked images and videos have already given a handful of details.
Minimal cosmetic changes have been made to the new Brezza. The facelifted model features a slightly revised and slimmer grille with a new gold finish along with tweaked front bumper that gets a silver insert on the lower air dam. A silver skid plate and triangular surrounds for the LED fog lamps add more to its refreshing looks.
Design elements such as the LED headlamps, blacked-out A-B and C-pillars, thick wheel arch cladding and body stance remain unchanged. However, the SUV gets newly-designed 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear profile appears largely similar to the current model. Dimensionally, the 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is likely to remain unchanged, measuring 3,995mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,685mm in height.
Leaked pictures confirm that the new Maruti Brezza facelift will receive a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, borrowed from the Victoris. The SUV will also get ambient lighting, ventilated front seats and front parking sensors. Most of the existing features will be carried over including automatic climate control, keyless entry and push-button start/stop, a wireless phone charger, auto dimming IRVM, single-pane sunroof and more.
On the safety front, the new Brezza will continue to offer electronic stability control, six airbags, Isofix child seat anchors, hill start assist, rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.
The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift will receive a biggest upgrade in the form of a new 1.0L Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. This is the same turbo-petrol engine that powers the Maruti Fronx. The new turbo-petrol engine could be reserved for higher trims, while the lower and mid-spec variants are likely to continue with the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol mild hybrid engine.
The 1.5L NA petrol engine pushes out a maximum power of 103PS and 139Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The CNG version, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, offers power worth 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque.
Considering the subtle design changes, feature upgrades and a new turbo-petrol engine, the 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to receive a price hike of up to Rs 50,000. It will continue to rival the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
