New Mahindra SUV: Baby Scorpio Interior and Launch Details Out

Mahindra had showcased 4 new UV concepts, Vision S, Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT, on August 15, 2025. The company has already started testing the new Vision S concept based compact SUV, which is rumoured to be the smallest member of Scorpio family. The SUV will be the first to arrive in our market with a possible debut in production avatar in 2026. 

Premium Interiors

Mahindra had revealed the cabin layout of the Vision S Concept, and the spy images suggest that the production-ready model will carry the same cabin layout. The compact SUV will come with an all-new dashboard layout dominated by a dual screens comprising a touchscreen infotainment unit and an instrument panel. 

Similar to the concept, the production-ready model will have a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls. The vertically stacked AC vent separates the two screens, while the central console houses physical buttons for various functions such as air conditioning and music. 

Panoramic Sunroof

The spy images confirms that the new baby Mahindra Scorpio will have a panoramic sunroof. The concept had a glass roof with built-in lighting. There are grab handles in front and second-row for easy ingress and egress. 

Specifications

The new Mahindra SUV is based on the brand’s new NU_IQ modular platform, which is compatible with ICE, hybrid and EV powertrains. The SUV is likely to be offered with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine along with a strong hybrid unit. The SUV could also get a 1.5L turbo diesel unit. 

Launch Details

The new Mahindra Vision S based compact SUV is expected to be revealed sometime in 2026. The SUV could go on sale before the end of 2026 or early 2027.
