Renault Bridger concept debuts Launch in 2027 Multiple engine options
The much-anticipated Renault Bridger concept has finally been revealed. This new concept previews the brand’s upcoming sub-4 meter SUV, which will sit between the Kiger and Duster. The new mini Duster is expected to be launched in our market in 2027. It will take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet.
The new Renault Bridger will be designed and developed in India for domestic as well as international markets. Production of the SUV is expected to begin in India in 2027.

The new Bridger concept previews a boxy compact SUV with an upright stance, strong lines and smoother surfaces. Moreover, the concept has striking off-road design elements. The SUV has a straight bonnet, and a square-shaped front fascia. It gets a flat grille with illuminated Renault lettering, new squared-off headlamps with uniquely styled LED DRLs, and sporty bumper that houses a skid plate and mesh pattern for air intakes.
Prominent cladding all-around the body adds rugged character to its appearance. The side profile has smoother surfaces and a flat roof that further gives it a boxy profile. It gets squared-off wheel arches, thick body cladding, EV-like large alloy wheels wrapped in off-road tyres and prominent roof rails. The concept has blacked-out pillars, a contrasting black roof and blacked-out bonnet.

To further add off-road character, Renault has given a unique rear design to the new Bridger. The SUV has a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and vertically stacked tail-lamps. It has uniquely designed, upright tailgate and large glass area that adds to its practicality. The SUV gets a large bumper that houses a chunky skid plate.
Renault is yet to reveal the cabin layout of the new Bridger SUV concept. However, the company claims that the production model will offer exceptional cabin space. It is claimed to offer a rear knee room of 200mm, which Renault claims is segment-best. The company claims that the new Bridger will offer around 400-litres of boot space, which will be the largest in the segment.
The new Renault Bridger based compact SUV will be offered with multiple engine options, including petrol, hybrid, CNG and electric. It is likely to receive a new 1.2L NA petrol engine along with a turbo petrol and a hybrid powertrain. The electric version is expected to be offered with two battery choices. It is also likely to get a 1.0L, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with manual and CVT options. The new model is likely to be based on Renault’s new modular R-GMP architecture, which is heavily localised for the Indian market.
