Renault is preparing to reintroduce the popular Renault Duster in India with a brand-new generation. The Renault Duster 2025 could launch by the end of this year or in early 2026. Though the company has not shared the official Renault Duster launch date in India, frequent sightings of test mules confirm that the SUV is in its final testing phase.
The 2025 Renault Duster 5 seater has been spotted several times on Indian roads, most recently in Bengaluru. Even under heavy camouflage, its signature V-shaped tail lamps, sporty spoiler, raked windshield and bold stance are easy to spot. The India-spec version is expected to get some design tweaks such as new alloy wheels and a slightly different bumper compared to the global model.

Along with the standard version, Renault is also testing the new Renault Duster 7 seater SUV, likely to be called the Bigster (or Boreal). This larger variant will target family buyers looking for more space while offering the same rugged SUV appeal.
Inside, the Renault Duster 2025 will offer a modern cabin with features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 7-inch digital cluster, wireless smartphone mirroring, OTA updates and dual-zone climate control. In terms of safety, it is likely to come with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, a 360-degree camera and ADAS features such as lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.
The new-gen Duster will be offered with multiple powertrain options globally, some of which could make their way to India:
- A full-hybrid setup with 140 hp, capable of driving mostly in EV mode in city conditions and offering excellent Renault Duster mileage.
- A mild-hybrid engine producing 130 hp with manual gearbox and 4x4 option.
- A bi-fuel variant (petrol + LPG) that delivers up to 30% better efficiency.
These options highlight Renault’s focus on fuel efficiency and lower running costs.
The official Renault Duster price in India will be announced at launch, but estimates suggest it could start from Rs 10 lakh and go up to Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts it in direct competition with popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
