After the successful launch of the Maruti Suzuki Victoris in September 2025, the midsize SUV market is getting even more exciting. With several new models lined up for launch in the next year or two, brands like Tata, Mahindra, Renault, and Kia are preparing to take the competition to the next level.
Here’s a look at the upcoming midsize SUVs that you should keep an eye on.
Tata Motors is bringing back the legendary Tata Sierra, but this time with a modern twist. Tata Sierra 2025 will be available first as an all-electric model, expected to launch before the end of this financial year. This will be Tata’s first electric SUV in the midsize category, and fans are eagerly waiting for the Tata Sierra launch date.
After the electric version, Tata will introduce petrol and diesel variants. The revival of the Sierra name will surely stir up excitement in the market.
Mahindra’s popular XUV700 is getting a facelift, and it is expected to launch in early 2026. Mahindra XUV700 facelift will come with subtle updates, including a new front grille, improved lights, and a refreshed interior with more tech features. It will still offer the same 2.0L petrol and 2.2L diesel engines, but with some improvements to make it even better.
The XUV700 facelift launch date is highly anticipated, as the updated SUV is expected to compete with other popular models like the Tata Safari and Hyundai Tucson.

Along with the Duster, Renault is also working on a new midsize SUV that will replace the old Terrano. This model will share its platform with the new Duster and is expected to launch in early 2026. The new SUV will have a modern design and feature a spacious cabin for families.
Kia is planning to launch a new version of its popular Seltos in early 2026.
