Mahindra XUV700 Electric, also known as the XEV 7e, is an upcoming Mahindra electric SUV that is expected to arrive in early 2026. This all-electric SUV will be built on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform and is set to rival electric vehicles like the Tata Harrier EV. With a host of exciting features, including AWD options, new design, and powerful performance, the XUV700 EV will surely become a game-changer in the electric SUV market.

Mahindra XUV700 Electric will largely resemble the popular Mahindra XUV700, but with several key design changes to make it more EV-friendly. The front of the vehicle will feature inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs, a split headlamp setup, and a sleek silhouette inspired by the Mahindra XEV 9e SUV Coupe. It will also sport aero-optimised alloy wheels and wrap-around LED tail-lights.
Inside, the XEV 7e will feature a futuristic triple-screen dashboard layout. This connected screen setup will include a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and a similarly sized co-passenger display. Comfort features will include multi-zone climate control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, powered front seats with memory function and ventilation, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
Mahindra XUV700 EV will be a spacious 3-row SUV, perfect for larger families. The vehicle will be available in both 6-seater and 7-seater layouts. The 6-seater variant will come with captain seats in the second row. There may also be a 5-seater version of the XUV700 Electric, which will offer a more compact design.
One of the most exciting features of the XUV700 Electric is its dual-motor AWD configuration, which will be a first for Mahindra in the electric SUV market. The XEV 7e will offer two battery pack options - a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh pack. Depending on the chosen battery size, the electric SUV will offer a range between 542 km and 656 km on a single charge.
The vehicle will also come with powerful performance metrics. The rear-axle-mounted electric motor in the RWD setup will deliver 286 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The dual-motor AWD setup will increase the power and torque, with estimates of around 400 bhp and over 500 Nm of torque.
Mahindra XUV700 Electric is expected to launch in early 2026. Pricing for the XEV 7e is still under wraps, but it is likely to be priced competitively to rival similar electric SUVs, such as the Tata Harrier EV. Early estimates suggest that the XUV700 Electric could start around Rs 20 lakh, with the higher-spec variants being priced at a premium.
