Renault Niagara: New Duster Pick-up Confirmed for 10th Sept Debut

Renault Niagara pickup debut on September 10 To be launched in Latin America later this year

Renault has officially teased its future pick-up truck, called the Niagara for the global markets. The new model is claimed to be a spacious, comfortable vehicle of robust design and advanced technology. This comes as a part of Renault’s FutuREady strategic plan of introducing 14 new models outside Europe between now and 2030.

The new Renault Niagara pick-up will be launched in Latin America. It will join the latest Renault models, including the Boreal and Kardian. Renault has officially announced that the Niagara will be launched in Argentina next September.

Commenting on the same, Jan Ptacek, Vice-President, Renault Brand LCV Business Unit, said, "We are excited to be unveiling Renault Niagara in Argentina next September. This new pick-up consolidates our Renault range in Latin American countries. Versatile, spacious and comfortable with strong styling, this pick-up will meet the needs of all our customers."

Renault Niagara will be assembled at the Cordoba plant in Argentina. Set to be unveiled on 10 September next, it will be available in Latin America for late 2026. The name Niagara is of Native American origin. It refers to the thundering sound of the water and to the immensity of the land.

Unlike traditional pickups based on the ladder-frame chassis, Renault Niagara will be based on a monocoque platform. The SUV will share the interior and design details with the 7-seater Duster, called the Renault Boreal that measures 4556mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2702mm. The Niagara is expected to be slightly longer with a ground clearance similar or slightly higher than the Boreal.

It is expected to be offered with features like LEVEL-2 ADAS, hands-free parking, powered and massaging front seats, 360-degree surround view camera, panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless phone charging and others. The Renault Niagara is likely to be powered by a 1.3L turbo petrol engine that produces up to 163hp. It is also expected to get a 1.8L Strong Hybrid setup that offers up to 160hp. It will also come with a sophisticated AWD system.
