Shankar Mahadevan Tunes into Electric Mobility, Buys the MG M9 Luxury EV

Music Maestro, Shankar Mahadevan has brought home MG SELECT’s flagship luxury MPV, the MG M9. Recently, Indian cricketer KL Rahul bought this 5.2-metre-long MPV. The ace composer and singer has opted for the all-black finished M9. It is available in 3 colours: Metal Black, Concrete Grey and Lustre White. The Concrete Grey and Lustre White are offered with a black roof. 

The MG M9 luxury MPV comes with Presidential Seats with 16-way adjustment, eight massage modes, heating and ventilation, and yacht-style dual sunroof.  It has ambient lighting and cognac brown leather interior that adds to its premium feel, while the intelligent armrest controls and flexible storage are there for convenience. Adding to it, the music lovers will have a 13-speaker premium sound system with subwoofer and amplifier.

It comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, three-zone climate control, wireless phone charger, and a powered tailgate. For safety and security, the luxury EV gets 7 airbags, a 360-degree surround view camera, digital IRVM, electronic parking brake with auto hold, all-wheel disc brakes, and LEVEL-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). 
 

The MG M9 Presidential Limousine is packed with a 90kWh NMC battery and a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The combined power and torque output stands at 245PS and 350Nm, respectively. It is claimed to offer a certified range of 548km on a single charge. The battery can achieve 30% to 80% charging status in just 30 minutes using a 160kW fast charger.
