Several new-generation cars are gearing up for their debut in India over the next two years. Car Brands like Hyundai, Kia, Tata, and Renault are preparing to launch their next-gen models, packed with fresh designs, updated features, and improved performance.
Let’s take a look at some of the upcoming new-gen cars that are set to hit the roads soon.
The 2025 Hyundai Venue has already been revealed, and bookings are officially open. The compact SUV is set for its price announcement on November 4, 2025. The new Venue features a completely refreshed design - it’s taller, wider, and more premium than before.
Inside, the new Hyundai Venue gets a dual 12.3-inch display setup, giving the cabin a futuristic touch. Under the hood, the 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines continue, but now the diesel variant comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox for the first time.

The new-gen Kia Seltos is expected to make its global debut by the end of 2025, followed by an India launch in mid-2026. Internally codenamed SP3i, the new Seltos will come with major design and feature upgrades.
One of the biggest highlights will be the introduction of a strong-hybrid powertrain, pairing the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with an electric motor. Alongside this, Kia will continue to offer the familiar petrol and diesel options, making the new-gen Seltos more efficient and eco-friendly.
Renault is all set to reintroduce the legendary Duster with an all-new model. The new-gen Renault Duster, based on the CMF-B platform, will go on sale in early 2026.
Under the hood, it will feature a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine producing 154 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Additionally, a 1.6-litre strong hybrid version is also expected later, offering better efficiency and performance. The new generation Duster will mark Renault’s big comeback in the competitive SUV space.
The new-gen Tata Nexon is currently under development and is expected to launch in 2027. Internally known as ‘Garud’, the upcoming new-gen Nexon will be built on a reworked version of the existing X1 platform.
Tata will introduce a new design language and an upgraded cabin layout, keeping comfort and connectivity in focus. Powertrain options are likely to include the 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, along with a CNG variant.
The next-gen Hyundai Creta will mark the SUV’s third-generation update, expected to launch in 2027. Codenamed SX3, the new-gen Creta 2027 is already under development and is set to bring a host of new features and hybrid tech.
It is likely to share its strong-hybrid powertrain with the upcoming Seltos, featuring a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an electric motor. Alongside this, the existing petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel engine options will continue, giving buyers plenty of choices.
