Get more insights on the upcoming Skoda Kylaq regarding its price and launch details:
With the launch of the new Kylaq, Skoda will enter the sub-compact SUV segment. This segment has gained immense popularity in recent years due to its affordability, features, and size of the car. Some of the popular choices include the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO. Prices of these cars range between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
Upon launch, Skoda Kylaq will rival the aforementioned car models. Hence, we can expect the price of the upcoming Skoda car to hover around Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Skoda has been developing its new sub-4m SUV for a long time. Its arrival was officially announced in February 2024. Later in April 2024, the brand shortlisted 10 names for the car; out of which 'Kylaq' was finalised in August this year. In fact, the test mule of the Skoda Kylaq was also spied, hinting at its design and features.
Recently, the Czech automaker announced that it will start producing the Kylaq next month. Initially, it will go on sale in the domestic market. However, it can be exported to the international market at a later stage. The company aims to manufacture 50,000-70,000 units per year. As for the launch timeline, Skoda could launch the Kylaq sub-compact SUV by March 2025.
