The Indian automotive market is gearing up for two exciting launches this May 2025, with Tata Motors and Kia India preparing to introduce the facelift versions of two of their popular models — the Tata Altroz and the Kia Carens. Both facelifts promise updated styling, new features, and improved appeal.
Here is everything you need to know about these upcoming cars in May 2025.
Kia has officially confirmed the launch of the 2025 Carens Facelift, scheduled for May 8, 2025. The updated MPV will feature significant exterior changes, including redesigned LED headlights, sleeker LED taillights, updated bumpers, and stylish new alloy wheels. These cosmetic tweaks are expected to give the Carens a more modern and premium look.
Inside the cabin, the Carens facelift is likely to feature a revamped interior design, while continuing to offer flexibility with 6- and 7-seater configurations, just like the current model.
Kia will position the facelifted Carens alongside the existing model, offering both petrol and diesel engine options. The starting price for the refreshed Carens is expected to be around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
Following Kia's launch, Tata Motors is set to introduce the Altroz Facelift towards the end of May, with the launch expected on May 21, 2025. The Tata Altroz, known for its strong build and premium positioning in the hatchback segment, is due for a major refresh.
Previous spy shots reveal that the updated Altroz will feature design enhancements such as flush-type door handles, a new dual-pod headlamp setup, and redesigned alloy wheels. While the interior updates remain under wraps, the facelifted model is likely to retain the current feature list, offering modern amenities and strong safety features.
Under the hood, the 2025 Altroz Facelift is expected to continue with its existing engine options, including the 84 bhp, 1.2-litre petrol and 87 bhp, 1.5-litre diesel units. Pricing for the facelifted version is expected to see a slight increase over the current model, which starts at Rs 6.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to their official launches!
