Tata Motors, India’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to strengthen its EV portfolio with the launch of Tata Nexon EV ADAS variants. The company recorded sales of 7,088 EVs in August 2025, holding a 40.98% market share in the passenger EV segment and registering a 61% year-on-year growth.
To strengthen its position further, Tata Motors is set to introduce the Nexon EV Empowered+ A 45 variant, equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Tata is preparing to update the Nexon EV lineup with ADAS Level 2 in select top-end trims. The new Empowered+ A 45 variant will top the Nexon EV range, building on the Empowered 45 and Empowered Plus 45 trims that currently retail between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Nexon EV ADAS features will include premium equipment already available in Empowered trims, such as:
- JBL sound system with subwoofer
- 360-degree surround view camera with blind spot monitoring
- Voice-assisted panoramic sunroof
- Ventilated leatherette seats
- V2V and V2L charging
- Arcade.ev app suite
- 31.24 cm cinematic touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
The Tata Nexon EV ADAS Level 2 upgrade will offer features such as:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane keep assist and lane departure warning
- Forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking
- Traffic sign recognition
- High beam assist
Special editions like the Dark Edition and Red Dark Edition will also receive ADAS, maintaining their premium styling with blacked-out accents and red highlights.
The Nexon EV Empowered+ A 45 will continue with its 45 kWh battery, offering a real-world range of 350-375 km and fast charging from 20-80% in just 20 minutes. Performance figures remain unchanged at 106 kW (143 PS), 215 Nm torque, and 0–100 km/h in 8.9 seconds. Tata also continues to offer a lifetime warranty on the high-voltage battery, a unique advantage in this segment.
With the addition of Tata Nexon EV ADAS, the Empowered+ variants are set to become a benchmark in the under Rs 20 lakh EV SUV category. The upgrade meets growing demand for safety and advanced features, and is expected to boost Nexon EV sales in the coming months.
