Hyundai Venue facelift is expected to launch in late 2025. This upcoming sub compact SUV comes with a refreshed design, Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera. Engine options are likely to include the familiar 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel. The Hyundai Venue facelift 2025 promises more comfort, modern interiors, and advanced safety features, making it one of the most anticipated sub-4-meter SUVs.

Set to arrive in 2026, the Bayon will feature a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine along with the 1.0-litre tGDi option. Buyers can expect a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic. With updated styling and new features, the Bayon is among the upcoming sub 4m cars in India that will attract city SUV buyers.
The Inster EV, expected by the end of 2026, is a compact electric SUV that will rival the Tata Punch EV. It will offer battery packs of 42 kWh and 49 kWh, delivering up to 355 km of range per charge. This upcoming sub 4 meter SUV in India shows Hyundai’s push into the electric compact SUV segment.
Tata’s next-gen Nexon, internally called ‘Garud’, will remain a sub-4-meter SUV but with a complete redesign. Petrol, diesel, and CNG engines will continue, alongside improved interiors and updated safety features, making it one of the most awaited upcoming sub 4m SUVs in India.
The Syros EV is an all-electric upcoming sub 4m SUV, expected by late 2025 or early 2026. With EV-specific styling, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and a claimed 400 km range, the Syros EV provides a tech-forward, eco-friendly choice for compact SUV buyers.
Kia’s next-generation Sonet, likely arriving in 2027, will feature redesigned exteriors, updated interiors, and additional technology. An EV version may also be introduced, making it one of the upcoming sub 4 meter SUVs in India appealing to both petrol and electric buyers.
Mahindra Vision S, part of Mahindra’s SUV lineup, is a compact SUV under 4 meters expected to launch as a Mahindra new car launch in 2027. It will offer petrol and diesel engines with front-wheel drive standard and optional all-wheel drive. This model is designed to deliver city-friendly dimensions without compromising Mahindra’s SUV character.
Mahindra Vision cars series will also see the Vision X, a premium sub-4-meter SUV possibly positioned alongside or replacing the XUV3XO. Available in ICE and electric variants, it will feature front-wheel drive as standard with optional AWD. This upcoming sub 4 meter SUV in India will be best for those seeking luxury, technology, and efficiency in a compact package.
