One of the biggest updates for the 2026 Tata Punch is the addition of a turbo-petrol engine. This engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, offering better performance than the current model.
Lower variants of the Punch new model will continue with the familiar 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
Tata Motors will also offer a factory-fitted CNG option with the Punch facelift 2026. The CNG version will use the same 1.2-litre petrol engine and will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, keeping running costs low for city-focused buyers.

The latest teaser shows several cabin upgrades for the Tata Punch 2026 model. Key interior highlights include:
- A new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system
- Updated interface and fresh graphics
- A new digital instrument cluster
- 360-degree surround view camera
- Climate control system with haptic touch switches
These updates make the new Punch feel more premium and tech-focused than the outgoing version.
Tata Punch facelift 2026 gets noticeable exterior updates. At the front, it features slim LED DRLs, a more rugged lower bumper with black cladding, and a silver-highlighted air dam. The vertically stacked LED headlamps are similar to those seen on the Punch EV.
Unlike some newer Tata SUVs, the new Tata Punch does not get a connected LED light bar. Instead, black trim connects the DRLs for a cleaner look.

A major highlight of the Punch facelift 2026 is the presence of a front-facing camera and a visible RADAR sensor in the lower bumper. This confirms that the Tata Punch new model will be the smallest SUV in India to offer ADAS.
It is still unclear whether the system will be Level 1 or Level 2 ADAS, but this feature alone sets the 2026 Tata Punch apart in its segment.
At the rear, the Tata Punch facelift gets connected LED tail-lamps, housed in black plastic trim. The tailgate design has been revised, featuring a repositioned Tata badge. New alloy wheels further refresh the SUV’s overall look.
Tata Punch facelift 2026 release date is confirmed as January 13, 2026. It will compete with rivals like the Hyundai Exter, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
The current Punch is priced between Rs 5.50 lakh and Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Punch facelift 2026 price is expected to start around Rs 5.99 lakh and go up to Rs 10.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
