Tata Sierra EV to launch between April and June 2026 To get two battery choices It will rival the Mahindra BE 6
Tata Motors will start delivering the new Sierra lifestyle SUV from January 15, 2026. The company will also launch its EV version, which has already been teased via a TV commercial. While official launch date is yet to be revealed, we can confirm that the Tata Sierra EV will launch in Q2, 2026, between April and June. Before this EV, Tata Motors will launch the Punch EV facelift in February 2026.
The new Sierra ICE is based on the new ARGOS platform, while the new Tata Sierra EV will be based on the Acti.ev platform that also underpins the Punch.ev and Curvv.ev. To be positioned between the Curvv EV and the Tata Harrier EV, the electric Sierra will directly rival the Mahindra BE 6 and the Hyundai Creta Electric.
The new Tata Sierra electric is expected to be offered with two battery choices, including a 55kWh from Curvv.ev and 65kWh from Harrier.ev. The electric SUV will be a front-wheel-drive SUV; however, the top-spec model will come with a dual-motor AWD setup. It is expected to offer a realistic range of up to 450km on a single charge.
The new Sierra EV will look largely identical to its ICE model, except for the EV-specific changes. It will have a closed-off front, flatter bumper, connected LED DRLs, and high-set bonnet along with short overhangs and flush-type door handles. The electric SUV will have a triple screen dashboard layout, featuring a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch co-occupant entertainment screen and a 10.25-inch driver’s display. The Sierra EV will come with a dual-zone climate control, a new twin-spoke steering wheel, ventilated and powered front seats, and a large panoramic sunroof. For safety and security, the new EV will have LEVEL 2 ADAS tech, multiple airbags, ESC, hill launch and descent control, and others.
