Carmakers have released their sales numbers for the festive month, October 2025. The Tata Nexon is the country’s best-selling car in October 2025. Tata Motors sold 22,083 units of the Nexon, while Maruti Dzire sits at second position with 20,791 units dispatched to dealerships. It is clear that SUVs are dominating the Indian car space with close to 16 models in the list of top 25 selling cars in the month of October 2025.

Tata Nexon is at the top spot with 22,083 units dispatched to dealerships in October 2025 as against 14,759 units in the same month last year. The SUV reported a 50% year-on-year sales jump. The SUV managed to beat some of the popular cars, including Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Creta, and Maruti Wagon R to clinch the top spot.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions were grabbed by Maruti Dzire, Ertiga and Wagon R, respectively. Maruti Suzuki sold 20,791 units of the Dzire, while the Ertiga and Wagon R stand at 20,791 and 20,087 units, respectively.

Hyundai Creta slipped to 5th position with 18,381 units sold last month as against 17,497 units in October 2024, reporting a YoY sales growth of 5 percent. Mahindra Scorpio nameplate is in 6th position with 17,880 units sold, followed by Maruti Fronx at 7th place with 17,003 units dispatched to dealerships last month.
Maruti Baleno, Tata Punch and Maruti Swift grabbed 8th, 9th and 10th positions, respectively, in the list of top 25 best-selling cars in October 2025.
The newly launched 2025 Mahindra Bolero facelift received an overwhelming response from buyers. The company sold a total of 14,343 Boleros in October 2025 as against 9,,849 units in the same month last year, reporting a YoY sales growth of 46 percent.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris is gaining good traction among car buyers in India. The company sold 13,496 units of the Victoris mid-sized SUV last month. Kia’s sub-4 meter SUV, Sonet, also reported a sales jump of 31% with 12,745 units sold in October 2025.
Mahindra sold a total of 12,237 units of the XUV 3XO, while Maruti Brezza slipped to 16th position with 12,072 units sold in October 2025. The combined sales of Thar and Thar Roxx stood at 12,029 units, while Hyundai sold a total of 11,738 units of the Venue last month.
Toyota Hyryder reported a YoY sales jump of 112% in October 2025. The company dispatched 11,555 units of the mid-sized SUV last month as compared to 5,449 units in October 2024. The Toyota Innova nameplate is going strong with 11,089 units dispatched to dealerships last month.
Maruti Suzuki sold 10,409 units of the Grand Vitara in October 2025, while Mahindra XUV 700 registered a total sales of 10,139 units. Tata Motors sold a total of 8,850 units of the Tiago in October 2025. Kia dispatched 8,779 units of Carens and 7,130 units of the Seltos last month.
