The all-new Kia Seltos and the long-awaited Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be launched in the Indian market in December 2025. MSIL has confirmed that the prices of the e Vitara electric SUV will finally be revealed on December 2, 2025, while the second gen Seltos will make its global debut simultaneously in India and South Korea on 10th December 2025. However, sales of the new Seltos are expected to begin in January 2026.

The e Vitara is Suzuki’s first global electric SUV based on an all-new scalable platform, called the e HEARTECT. Production of the new SUV has already been commenced at Suzuki’s Gujarat based manufacturing plant. The India-spec model will be offered with two battery choices - 48.9kWh and 61.1kWh - both will come with a front-axle-mounted electric motor.
The Suzuki e Vitara higher-spec model will offer a certified range of up to 500km on a single charge. The SUV supports fast charging and the bigger 61.1kWh battery can attain 0 to 80% charging status in 50 minutes. In terms of features, the SUV gets a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument panel, fixed glass roof, ventilated front seats, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat and others.
For safety and security, the new Suzuki e Vitara has 7 airbags, 360-degree surround view camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, TPMS, blind spot monitoring, all-disc brakes, and LEVEL 2 ADAS. It is expected to be priced around Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. The SUV will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric. Mahindra BE 6 and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV.

The second-gen Seltos has been spotted testing numerous times on the Indian roads. Going by the spy images, it is visible that the new Seltos has received radical design changes which seem inspired by the new Telluride. The SUV has a boxy styling, which could be the reason behind its bigger appearance.
The new-gen Seltos will have a more premium and feature-loaded cabin. The cabin design is likely to be inspired by the bigger Kia models, including Carnival and EV9. It is likely to get Syros-like connected screen that houses a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 5-inch climate control display and a 12.3-inch infotainment unit.
The new Kia Seltos will initially come with petrol and diesel fuel options. It is likely to retain the existing engine options, including a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. Its hybrid version is expected to be launched in 2027.
