Mahindra Thar 3-door Facelift brings subtle design updates and new features. The Bolero Facelift gets a sleek black exterior and upgraded tech. The Bolero Neo Facelift offers modern technology with rugged appeal.
Mahindra fans have a reason to be excited as the brand prepares to launch three major SUVs in the first week of October 2025. The facelifted versions of the Mahindra Thar, Mahindra Bolero, and Mahindra Bolero Neo are all set to make their arrival. With subtle updates and fresh features, these models are expected to grab attention in the Indian automotive market.
Here's a breakdown of what we can expect from these upcoming Mahindra SUV launches.
Mahindra Thar Facelift is expected to launch on October 2, 2025, with some exciting updates while keeping its classic rugged appeal intact.
The front of the Thar, including the grille and headlamps, will remain the same as before, staying true to the look that Thar fans love. Although some Thar lovers were hoping for a more modern look, Mahindra has chosen to stick with the familiar design.
On the sides, the Thar 3-Door Facelift will retain its signature tough stance, while the rear design stays mostly unchanged, keeping the old tail lamps. However, one noticeable improvement is the addition of alloy wheels on the 4x2 RWD variants, giving the Thar a more premium feel, even in the base models.
A key new feature is the rear camera, now placed in the middle of the spare alloy wheel. This small but useful addition will make reversing easier, especially during off-road adventures. Other handy features include a rear wiper and defogger, which will be helpful in rainy or foggy conditions.
While some fans may have hoped for an upgrade to an electric steering system, the Thar will continue with its hydraulic steering. However, the addition of the twin-peaks logo on the steering wheel adds a touch of luxury to the Thar's rough-and-ready personality.

A few days of Thar facelift launch, Mahindra Bolero Facelift will make its entry on October 6, 2025, with a refreshed design and some key updates. The rugged, boxy shape of the Bolero stays the same, keeping its tough and practical character. However, the facelift brings a sleek black exterior finish, a redesigned bumper, and updated wheels to give it a more modern edge.
Inside, the Bolero gets some important tech upgrades. A new touchscreen infotainment system will replace the older unit, offering Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music. The Bolero will still offer three-row seating, with the third row featuring jump seats for a more compact, family-friendly setup.
Powering the Bolero Facelift is the same reliable 1.5L mHawk diesel engine, delivering 75hp and 210Nm of torque. It’s paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. As a sub-4-meter SUV, the Bolero will benefit from the reduced 18% GST, making it a more attractive option for buyers.
Alongside new Bolero, Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift could also launch on October 6, 2025, bringing a more polished experience with updates in both design and technology.
The biggest change inside is the introduction of a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity, replacing the older setup and offering a more modern tech experience. On the outside, the Bolero Neo gets a refreshed front grille with bold horizontal slats and a revised lower bumper, giving it an even tougher, off-road-ready look.
Under the hood, the Bolero Neo Facelift keeps the 1.5L, 3-cylinder mHawk 100 turbo-diesel engine, which churns out 100hp and 260Nm of torque. It will continue to be offered with both a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT transmission option. The Bolero Neo Facelift strikes the perfect balance between ruggedness and modern features, making it an ideal choice for those seeking both performance and technology.
These three Mahindra SUV facelifts; Thar Facelift 2025, Bolero Facelift 2025, and Bolero Neo Facelift 2025 are just a glimpse of the exciting upcoming car launches in India in 2025. With Diwali 2025 approaching, these vehicles are likely to capture the attention of SUV enthusiasts across the country.
