With Diwali just around the corner, the excitement in the Indian car market is building up. Thanks to reduced GST rates and the festive shopping season, car buyers are eagerly waiting for new launches. Several exciting SUVs are set to make their debut by Diwali 2025, from both established brands like Tata and Mahindra to luxury players like Mini.
Let’s take a closer look at the top 5 SUVs launching by Diwali 2025 that are sure to grab attention:
Tata Sierra EV is one of the most exciting new launches in India. Tata Motors is bringing back the iconic Sierra SUV, now with both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and EV powertrains. The electric version, Tata Sierra EV, is expected to launch around October-November 2025, while the petrol and diesel models will follow in 2026.
The Tata Sierra EV will have advanced tech like a triple-screen dashboard, including a central infotainment screen, a digital instrument panel, and a co-passenger screen. It will come with a 65kWh or 75kWh battery, offering a driving range of about 500km on a single charge. The SUV will be a front-wheel-drive model and will feature LEVEL 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats for a premium experience.

The 2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift will bring subtle but exciting updates. The famous off-roader will keep its iconic design, with some modern touches like new alloy wheels and a rear camera for better visibility.
Mahindra Thar Facelift will continue to offer amazing off-road performance with its 4x4 design and classic rugged appeal. It will also come with updated features like power windows, armrests, and more for added convenience and comfort.
The 2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift will get a major update in terms of design and tech. It will have a new, larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity. The SUV will still feature the reliable 1.5L turbo-diesel engine but with a fresh front grille and a more aggressive look. These updates will improve both its style and driving experience.
Nissan's much-anticipated C-SUV is set to be revealed on October 7, with its official launch scheduled for 2026. Although it shares the same platform and dimensions as the Renault Duster, the new SUV will boast a unique design and an array of advanced features, including a triple-screen dashboard. It is expected to offer both petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrains and will compete in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment, currently led by the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
Mini Countryman JCW 2025 is a performance-focused SUV, set to launch in India around October 14, 2025. It will be the only petrol-powered version in the Countryman lineup for India. The SUV will feature a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 300hp and 400Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox and AWD for superior performance.
The Mini Countryman JCW will accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds. It is expected to be priced around Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom). With its sporty looks, chequered-flag grille, and unique red accents, this SUV is set to turn heads. The petrol version will be highly sought after, given the limited availability of the electric JCW variant.
