Citroen India has just released new details about the upcoming C3 Aircross SUV. The automaker’s latest product for India is slated to go on sale soon and will be competing in the lucrative and crowded compact SUV category.
Citroen C3 Aircross: Features
Citroen C3 Aircross is being offered in both 5- and 7-seat configurations. In terms of features, key highlights include a 10.2-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto climate control, hill-hold assist, auto start/stop, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Interestingly, the C3 Aircross will be one of the few offerings in the segment that does not feature a sunroof. However, the compact SUV will be offered with four different customization packs.
Citroen C3 Aircross: Powertrain Details
Powering the C3 Aircross will be the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 110 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. This unit comes mated to only a 6-speed manual transmission, with an automatic option expected to be introduced sometime later. The brand revealed that the new SUV will return a claimed fuel economy of 18.5 kmpl.
Citroen C3 Aircross: Launch and Rivals
According to the latest reports, bookings for the 2023 C3 Aircross are slated to open in September. Citroen will likely officially launch and reveal prices of the SUV in October, with deliveries to follow soon after.
Upon launch, the 2023 Citroen C3 Aircross will compete against the likes of the facelifted Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Škoda Kushaq, and the new Honda Elevate.
