Ferrari 296 Versione Speziale is set for world premiere in April 2025. Its prototype is seen covered with a heavy disguise in Maranello. This model can likely be around 70bhp higher than that of the current 296.
The Italian automaker, Ferrari is planning to launch six new cars this year, one of which is their first-ever EV, scheduled to debut on October 9. Ferrari 296 Versione Speziale is the second model that the brand has set for its global debut in 2025. This model has been recently spied testing in Maranello. The 296 VS prototype is covered with a heavy disguise that makes it harder to see changes.
However, we can get a glimpse of the new front bumper which seems to feature three lower vents at the outer edges. Let's have a deep look at this upcoming Ferrari model.
It is being said that the 296 VS is expected to be much lighter and more powerful than the 296 GTB model. Currently, the 296 features a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine which is paired with an electric motor. The combined output it gives is around 610bhp from the V6 and 166bhp from the electric motor. The final power output of this new model will likely be around 70bhp higher than that of the current 296.
The current 296 can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in approximately 2.9 seconds. The top speed is around 330kmph.
The car will remain as a coupe and a convertible model. However, it is likely that the design of its rear end is going to be particularly exciting. As it seems through the spy images, the 296 VS will have a more pronounced spoiler. We can also see the outline of a bold diffuser.
There are likely to be changes with lightweight wheels that are seen with slender spokes covered in tape. They are supported by a carbon ceramic braking system, which sports Ferrari-branded yellow calipers.
