Ferrari is set to give high-performance versions of the brand's bestselling models, Hardcore 296, Roma, and SF90 this year. The first EV of the Italian automaker is also due to make its global debut on October 9, at the company’s Capital Markets Day. With that, the brand is set to introduce a total of four new models in 2025.
Here is an overview of these upcoming Ferrari cars.
The Roma's production process ended last year, and the car is being revamped for 2025. It has been said that the test mules show a similar silhouette. The car is expected to be more evolved in terms of design, with Modificata (M) treatment for refreshed style and an extra dose of power.
The Roma M is likely to make its debut in the upcoming months and a Spider Version would follow through. It is possible that the brand will take the power to 659 bhp to make up its shortfall against the Aston Martin Vantage and the Porsche 911 Turbo.
The brand's flagship model SF90 is also due to get the M treatment which will enhance the performance. The model has fallen slightly behind the Lamborghini Revuelto's naturally aspirated V12 plug-in hybrid powertrain. So, it is very likely that the SF90 M would be more track-focused with a power output of 1,044 bhp.
Along with the performance enhancement, weight-saving measures are also expected.
A more aggressive and powerful 296 GTB version is expected to debut soon. It is said to follow the formula of "more power and notable weight reduction". This treatment would give the harder-hitting new 296 around 638 bhp per tonne, which would be a significant improvement over the existing car’s 564 bhp per tonne.
There have been some claims as per spy shots of the test mules near Ferrari’s Maranello factory in Italy that the hardcore 296 would be receiving aerodynamic tweaks, like a prominent duck-bill spoiler at the rear and a more prominent front splitter.
The CEO Benedetto Vigna recently said that the brand's priority is for drivers to have a lot of fun and "When we do electric cars, we will produce them in the right way,".
Prototypes of the EV spotted with used old Maserati Levante bodies suggest the new model could have a higher-riding proposition. The automaker will centralize the mass around the front or rear axle instead of the typical "Skateboard".
