Ferrari 849 Testarossa returns to India with hybrid power. 0-100kmph in 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 330kmph. Iconic design meets modern technology in Ferrari’s flagship supercar.
Ferrari has officially launched the new 849 Testarossa in India today, priced at Rs. 10.37 crore (ex-showroom, before options). This model becomes Ferrari’s new flagship, replacing the SF90 Stradale in the global lineup. The launch also marks the return of the Testarossa name, which has not appeared on a new Ferrari since the F512 M ended production in 1996.
The new Ferrari 849 Testarossa blends Ferrari’s legendary design with plug-in hybrid technology. It is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack. Together, the system produces around 1,050bhp, making it the most powerful production Ferrari to date.
Unlike the original flat-12 Testarossa, the hybrid setup allows for limited electric-only driving, giving up to 25km of range in city conditions. The front wheels are driven by electric motors, helping with torque vectoring and improved handling.

Performance figures are extreme. The 849 Testarossa can accelerate from 0-100kmph in under 2.3 seconds and has a top speed of 330kmph. With its hybrid system, it combines electric efficiency for short trips with full petrol power for high-speed performance.
Ferrari has paid homage to the original 1980s Testarossa in the new 849 model. The car features wide proportions, dramatic surfacing, and a bold stance, updated with modern aerodynamic elements and sharper lines. Active aero components can generate over 400kg of downforce, enhancing both stability and track performance.
The new 849 Testarossa comes with Ferrari’s latest chassis electronics, torque vectoring, and high-performance brakes. A Spider version with a retractable hard-top is expected to follow, offering open-top driving fun.
As with most flagship Ferraris, production of the 849 Testarossa will be limited. Most cars are expected to go to loyal customers, making it one of the most exclusive supercars available in India.
The Ferrari 849 Testarossa is a stunning combination of heritage design, plug-in hybrid technology, and extreme performance, making it a dream car for enthusiasts in India.
