New Ferrari Luce – Brand’s First 5-Seater EV

Ferrari Luce becomes the brand’s first 5-seater EV. The electric grand tourer produces over 1,050 hp. A 122 kWh battery delivers more than 530 km range.

Ferrari has officially entered the fully electric era with the reveal of the all-new Ferrari Luce. Unlike anything the Italian brand has built before, the Luce becomes Ferrari’s first-ever production EV and also the company’s first modern 5-seater road car.

The new electric grand tourer was unveiled in Rome and marks a huge shift for Ferrari as the company expands beyond traditional two-seat supercars and hybrid models.

Ferrari’s Most Unconventional Car Yet

The Luce completely changes the idea of what a Ferrari can be.

Instead of a low-slung two-seater layout, the new EV comes with five seats, a larger body and a futuristic design language. Ferrari says the Luce has been designed to sit alongside its petrol and hybrid models rather than replace them.

The EV measures over five metres in length and gets a long wheelbase of nearly three metres, making it one of the biggest road cars Ferrari has ever produced.

Futuristic Exterior Design

New Ferrari Luce Exterior

Ferrari has taken a very different styling direction with the Luce.

The car features a smooth, aerodynamic silhouette with a large glasshouse, flush body surfaces and floating design elements that improve airflow around the vehicle. The design was developed with help from LoveFrom, the design collective led by former Apple designer Sir Jony Ive.

At the front, the Luce gets slim LED lighting and a clean fascia, while the rear features halo-style tail lamps inspired by the iconic Ferrari 360 Modena.

Ferrari has also equipped the EV with huge wheels - 23-inch units at the front and massive 24-inch wheels at the rear.

Premium and Tech-Focused Cabin

New Ferrari Luce Interior

Inside, the Ferrari Luce gets a completely modern interior with a cleaner dashboard layout than current Ferrari models.

The cabin combines physical controls with multiple digital displays developed in partnership with Samsung. Premium materials like recycled aluminium, Gorilla Glass and leather upholstery have been used throughout the cabin.

The EV also gets a 21-speaker 3,000-watt audio system, panoramic glass surfaces and advanced connected technologies.

Four Electric Motors Produce Over 1,050 HP

Performance remains a major focus despite the Luce being Ferrari’s first 5-seater EV.

The electric grand tourer uses four individual electric motors producing a combined output of more than 1,050 hp. Ferrari claims wheel torque reaches a massive 11,500 Nm.

The Luce can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds, while 0-200 kmph takes only 6.8 seconds. Top speed is claimed to be over 310 kmph.

Each wheel gets its own dedicated motor and control systems for traction, steering and regenerative braking.

Large Battery and Fast Charging

Power comes from a 122 kWh battery pack operating on an 800-volt electrical architecture.

The battery supports ultra-fast charging speeds of up to 350 kW and offers a claimed driving range of over 530 km on a single charge.

Ferrari says the EV has been engineered entirely in-house at Maranello, including the battery systems and electronic architecture.

Packed with Advanced Technology

The Luce introduces several new technologies for Ferrari, including electric all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, torque vectoring and adaptive suspension systems.

Ferrari has also developed a special sound system designed to recreate mechanical vibrations and driving feedback often missing in electric vehicles.

Ferrari’s Electric Future Begins

With the Luce, Ferrari is clearly showing that its electric future will still focus heavily on performance, design and driving emotion.

While the idea of a 5-seater Ferrari EV may have once sounded impossible, the Luce proves the brand is ready to explore completely new territory without losing its identity.
