Tata Motors is preparing several new EV and SUV launches for India. Sierra EV and Safari EV are among the biggest upcoming Tata models. Avinya will become Tata’s premium electric sub-brand in FY27.
Tata Motors is preparing one of its biggest product expansion plans for the Indian market between 2026 and 2027. The company will introduce a mix of updated hatchbacks, new electric SUVs, and premium EVs as it continues to strengthen its position in both ICE and EV segments.
From the all-new Sierra EV to Tata’s upcoming Avinya premium electric brand, several important launches are lined up over the next two years. Here’s a look at the top 6 upcoming Tata EVs and SUVs expected in India between 2026 and 2027.
The updated Tata Tiago is set to launch on May 28, 2026 with noticeable design and feature upgrades. The hatchback now gets sleeker headlamps with eyebrow-style LED DRLs, refreshed bumpers, redesigned alloy wheels and updated tail-lamps.
Inside, Tata is expected to offer a new digital driver display, larger infotainment screen and even a 360-degree camera, which will be a big addition in this segment. Six airbags are also likely to be offered on higher variants.
The Tiago will continue with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with manual and AMT gearbox choices.

The Tiago EV facelift will launch alongside the petrol model with a similar set of updates. However, the electric version gets its own styling touches including a body-coloured closed grille and EV-specific detailing.
The cabin is expected to receive feature additions like a bigger touchscreen, updated instrument display, rear AC vents and a 360-degree camera setup.
Currently, the Tiago EV comes with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs offering up to 293 km range. Tata could introduce revised battery options or improved battery management for a better driving range and faster charging.
The Sierra EV will be one of Tata Motors’ most important launches in FY27. Expected to arrive in the next few months, the electric SUV will sit between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV.
The Sierra EV is likely to use the same rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive setups as the Harrier EV. Tata is also expected to equip it with premium features like a triple-screen dashboard layout, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, V2L and V2V charging functions, and ADAS technology.
The SUV is expected to offer a driving range of over 500 km on a full charge.
Tata Motors is also preparing its first all-electric three-row SUV in the form of the Safari EV. The model is expected to launch around the festive season later this year.
The Safari EV will likely share several components with the Harrier EV including battery packs, motors and platform architecture. Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions are expected.
The electric SUV will compete with upcoming models like the Mahindra XEV 9S and BYD eMax 7 in India.

The first production-ready Avinya model is expected to arrive by the end of FY27. Avinya will become Tata’s premium electric sub-brand focused on futuristic styling and advanced technology.
The upcoming Avinya EV is likely to use Tata’s born-electric skateboard platform and could deliver a driving range of over 500 km. The model is expected to feature a highly modern cabin layout with connected screens, premium materials and next-generation connected features.
Pricing could start around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata is also expected to update the Tigor and Tigor EV with styling and feature changes similar to the Tiago facelift. Both sedans could receive redesigned front and rear sections, upgraded interiors and additional technology features.
While the cosmetic and feature list will see updates, the engine and battery options are expected to remain unchanged from the current versions.
With multiple launches planned across hatchback, SUV and EV segments, Tata Motors is preparing for an aggressive product push in India between 2026 and 2027.
