Nissan reintroduces the X-Trail N-Trek with a rugged design. SUV continues with Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system. Interior gets waterproof seats and washable rubber mats.
Nissan X-Trail is a well-known SUV around the world and is also sold in India. It is known for its spacious cabin, comfortable driving experience and modern features. For the 2026 model year, Nissan has brought back the X-Trail N-Trek variant. This version gets a tougher design and a few useful features for people who enjoy outdoor trips and activities.
The SUV also continues with Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system, which aims to offer strong performance along with better efficiency.

The X-Trail N-Trek was last available in 2024. Now, Nissan has brought it back for the 2026 lineup with a few design changes and practical features.
In the lineup, the N-Trek variant sits between the N-Connecta and Tekna variants. Nissan says this version is designed for people who enjoy activities like camping, mountain biking and skiing, and want an SUV that suits their lifestyle.
In the UK market, the 2026 Nissan X-Trail starts at GBP 38,220, while the X-Trail N-Trek starts at GBP 43,310. With current exchange rates, this roughly comes to around Rs 46.8 lakh and Rs 53 lakh.
The standard X-Trail is offered in Acenta Premium, N-Connecta and Tekna variants. Nissan has also removed the Tekna+ variant from the lineup.
Along with the N-Trek version, the regular 2026 Nissan X-Trail has also received some updates.
The SUV now comes with two new colour options called Sukomo Blue and Coastal Dune, giving buyers more choices.
Inside the cabin, Nissan has improved the quality of the interior materials, which makes the cabin feel more premium. The SUV also gets new parking cameras and a Google-based infotainment system, similar to the one seen in the Nissan Qashqai.
The X-Trail N-Trek has a slightly different design to give it a more rugged look.
At the front, it gets a gloss black grille with three white slots at the top. The Nissan logo is finished in red, which adds a sporty touch.
The bumper also gets bright highlights. The alloy wheels come in gloss black and also have contrast details, which add to the SUV’s tough look.
Inside, the N-Trek version gets a dark interior theme with contrast stitching on the dashboard, doors and centre console.
The seats come in a dark navy blue colour, giving the cabin a unique look. Since this version is made for outdoor use, the seat material is waterproof, which makes it easier to clean.
The SUV also gets rubber floor mats that can be washed easily. The boot liner is reversible, which helps when carrying items like bicycles, camping gear or other outdoor equipment.
The 2026 Nissan X-Trail uses Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system.
The front-wheel-drive version produces around 201 bhp, while the all-wheel-drive version produces about 210 bhp.
For the 2026 model year, Nissan has removed the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine, and the focus is now on the e-Power hybrid system.
The Nissan X-Trail is already sold in India as a premium SUV. However, Nissan has not confirmed whether the N-Trek variant will also launch here.
