Honda Cars India is all set to introduce the brand-new Elevate SUV in India next month. Now ahead of its launch, the new Honda Elevate has been spied testing in the brand’s home market of Japan. Here is everything we know from the spy images.
As per the aforementioned images, we can confirm that the new Honda Elevate will come with ADAS tech, dubbed as Honda Sensing. This technology will include features like lane departure warning, lane keep assist, auto high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, road departure warning, and collision mitigation braking system.

The compact SUV category is arguably the most crowded and competitive segment in India. To stand apart from others, brands are packing their models with all the bells and whistles. However, it looks like the Honda Elevate may miss out on a few headline features. The brand’s latest teaser of the upcoming SUV revealed that it will come with an electric sunroof only. In a segment where panoramic sunroofs are becoming the norm, Honda seems to be lacking. The Elevate will also come with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, which is the segment standard and doesn’t help the SUV stand out from its rivals.
Upon launch, Honda Cars will offer only a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol motor that makes 121 bhp with 145 Nm of peak torque. This engine option will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox option.
Honda has confirmed that the Elevate will get the 1.5-litre Strong Hybrid motor sometime after the official launch.
Honda will be globally unveiling the Elevate in India on June 6. Prices are expected to be announced by August just before it goes on sale. Expect the new SUV to be priced around Rs 10 lakh - Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
Upon launch, the Elevate will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Škoda Kushaq, and VW Taigun.
