First unveiled in 2022 as a concept, the Jeep Recon is all set to make global debut sometime this year. The electric SUV is expected to be launched later this year; however, official launch timeline is yet to be revealed. The production version of the electric SUV was revealed in commercials for the American football league games last weekend.
The Jeep Recon will look like a baby Wrangler with square shapes and removable doors. The vehicle will be powered by electric motors. During the commercial at the American football league games, the new Recon was appeared for just a few seconds. The commercial also featured Harrison Ford.

The lifestyle SUV had no doors and was equipped with an illuminated grille, which suggest that the SUV retains the original identity of the concept presented three years ago. The production model gets the squared-shaped seven slots front grille, which is likely to be offered on other models of the brand including the next-gen Compass. For people not in the know, next-gen Jeep Compass is expected to make global debut in 2026. The electric SUV retains the vertical lines, shows its off-road character.
The rear has the spare wheel fixed to the trunk lid, which is directly lifted from the Wrangler. It is reported that the Jeep Recon will be a fully electric model. However, Jeep's top management multiple times reveal that the SUV could receive hybrid versions in the future.
The new Recon will be developed on the STLA Large platform, which also underpins the new Alfa Stelvio. This electric SUV is expected to be launched in the American market at the end of 2025. The SUV will also go on sale in Europe at the fag end of 2025 or early 2026.
