Kia Carens facelift has been spied testing again on the Indian roads. But, this time, it revealed new details about the exterior and interior features. Powertrain details are still under wraps.
The test mule of the facelifted Carens was partly visible from the front. It showed refreshed headlights connected by the LED light bar that works as the DRL. The rear section of the test mule was heavily camouflaged. However, it could hint at some of its design elements such as revised tail lights and new LED elements, similar to the Kia EV9. The alloy wheels also featured a fresh design, however, the wheel size is most probably the same as before. There was also the presence of cameras on the ORVMs.
Although the Interior of the Carens facelift could not be spotted, we can expect black fabric upholstery with a seat ventilation feature. Apart from this, it will continue with its current 6-seater and 7-seater layout and single-pane sunroof as the outgoing model. We expect the new Carens to feature Sonet-like dashboard layout with twin display for infotainment and digital instrument console.
The powertrain details of the Carens facelift have not been revealed yet. Though it is expected to retain its current set of engine options. These include 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engine choices. Transmission options include 6-speed MT, 7-speed DCT, 6-speed iMT, and 6-speed AT.
The facelifted Carens is likely to launch in the Indian market by 2025. As for the price, it will be slightly more costly than the current model which ranges between Rs 10.52 lakh to Rs 19.22 lakh (ex-showroom).
