Volvo has announced that it has started the production of the new EX90 at the production facility in South Carolina. The production of the seven-seater EX90 is awaited since it made its global debut in November 2022. The deliveries for this new electric flagship SUV are slated for the second half of 2024. First, it will be launched in the US markets followed by the Indian market.
The new EX90 will be offered with a large 14.5-inch infotainment system with built-in Google apps and services. It will also get smart safety features such as 5 radar sensors, 16 ultrasonic sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
It is also confirmed that Volvo EX90 will also be available for sale in India alongside the EX30. The top-spec variant of the EX90 will come equipped with a 111 kWh battery pack.
This battery pack transmits power to two electric motors that are mounted on each axle. This can generate a maximum power of 500 bhp with 900 Nm of peak torque. It can offer the claimed range of 600 km on a single charge.
While the entry-level EX30 will come equipped with a 69kWh battery pack with a dual motor setup. It can offer a claimed range of 474 km on one charge.
