Volvo EX90 and ES90 flagship EVs are coming to India. Both get a 111kWh battery, 509hp dual-motor setup and up to 600km range. LiDAR, NVIDIA chips and AI-based software add advanced technology.
Volvo India is preparing to launch two new flagship electric models in the country – the EX90 SUV and ES90 sedan. The EX90 will become the brand’s third electric model in India, while the ES90 will expand Volvo’s EV line-up into the luxury sedan segment.
Both models use Volvo’s latest software-defined vehicle (SDV) technology, with AI and machine learning helping the systems learn usage patterns and improve the driving experience over time.
The new Volvo EVs come with a strong focus on technology. Both models are equipped with LiDAR sensors and NVIDIA chips that support the 360-degree camera system. A Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit platform is also part of the package, while Unreal Engine is used to render graphics and real-world information.
The cabin gets a 14.5-inch central touchscreen with Google Assistant, Google Maps and access to third-party apps. This gives the new EVs a more connected and digital-focused interior.

The EX90 and ES90 will also get several premium features. Both models are expected to feature a Bowers & Wilkins sound system with Dolby Atmos, along with four-zone automatic climate control and a nine-inch digital instrument display.
The EX90 SUV will also offer captain seats, while the front seats get powered adjustment. The combination of a large touchscreen, premium audio system and advanced digital features will give the new Volvo EVs a more premium cabin experience.
International-spec versions of both EVs initially use a 111kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor setup. The electric powertrain produces 509hp and 910Nm, giving the EX90 and ES90 strong performance along with all-wheel-drive capability.
Volvo claims a WLTP range of up to 600km on a single charge. The battery can also be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes, making long-distance travel more convenient.
India-specific range and charging figures are expected to be announced closer to the launch.
The EX90 will become Volvo's third electric model in India, joining the company's existing EV line-up. The new SUV will sit above Volvo's current electric offerings and become one of the brand's flagship models in the country.
The ES90, meanwhile, will give Volvo a new electric sedan option in the luxury segment. With their combination of long range, powerful dual-motor systems and advanced software, the EX90 and ES90 will strengthen Volvo's EV line-up in India.
More details about pricing, India-specific specifications and launch dates are expected to be revealed by Volvo closer to their market introduction.
