Kia India has seen an overwhelming response for its just-launched Syros SUV, with bookings crossing the 20,000 mark in a mere two months. Bookings for the Syros commenced on January 3, 2025, and the high demand reflects the popularity of the vehicle and its increasing appeal in the competitive sub-compact SUV segment. Since its release on February 1, 2025, the Syros has become an in-demand favourite among Indian purchasers, fueled by its upscale features and advanced technology. Its popularity reflects the growing demand for high-tech, feature-laden cars in India's changing automotive market.
Since its official release on 1st February 2025, Kia Syros has received 20,163 orders. Although 67% of the buyers chose the petrol variants, 33% chose the diesel variant. Even the AT variants have gained over 38% of the orders, which reflects the trend towards comfort and hassle-free driving.
The premium models have been highly sought after, with 46% of the buyers opting for the top trim models, indicating preference for high-end features. When it comes to colour, the top is taken by Glacier White Pearl at 32% of the sales, followed by Aurora Black Pearl (26%) and Frost Blue (20%).
The Kia Syros is engineered with the aim of addressing the requirements of today's urban drivers who love technology. The car features a number of segment-firsts such as Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, which provide remote software updates of 16 car controllers. This takes users away from dealerships. The SUV features the Kia Connect 2.0 system onboard, with more than 80 connected features to improve driving experiences.
Second, the customers are able to add the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for added protection. The bookings for models offering the ADAS option have remained robust, garnering 18% of bookings. The ADAS system itself contains 16 stand-alone Level-2 safety features that provide even greater safety for drivers and occupants.
The Kia Syros is launched with premium-level features that attract Indian buyers. It features a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and 64-color ambient lighting. The car also features the first-in-segment rear seat recline, slide, and ventilation for passenger comfort. The adaptive boot space provides users with the option to customize the cargo space according to their requirements.
The increasing popularity for the top-end trims with feature-loaded variations reflects the rising demand for Indian luxury SUVs.
Kia India also offers different programs of ownership to enhance customer satisfaction. A few among them include My Convenience Secure, which takes care of wear-and-tear parts, and My Convenience Plus, which provides a mix of maintenance, extended warranty, and roadside assistance. Kia Scratch Care Program repairs one scratch at no cost within the first 12 months of vehicle ownership, whereas the Roadside Assistance program is for three years and extendable to six years.
