Mahindra fans are in for an exciting treat as the company is all set to launch the Mahindra Thar Facelift and the Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift in the next 15 days. Both facelift models have been spied multiple times on roads. It is also believed that the 3-door Thar facelift could be launched sooner than you think.
Here is what we know so far about the upcoming Mahindra Thar and Bolero Neo facelift:
Mahindra Thar Facelift comes with subtle yet noticeable updates. As shown in the video surfaced online, the grille and headlamps remain unchanged, keeping the classic Thar front design intact. However, some enthusiasts were hoping for a more modern front fascia, but it looks like Mahindra has opted for consistency.
The side profile of the Mahindra Thar 3 Door Facelift remains identical to the older models. The rugged, off-road-ready stance continues to define the Thar’s iconic look.
While the rear design stays the same, with the old tail lamps retained, the Thar Facelift does not introduce any major changes in this area. Despite the lack of novelty, the rear design still complements the Thar’s robust appeal.
One significant update is the inclusion of alloy wheels for the 4x2 RWD variants, which were previously omitted. This brings a more premium feel to the Thar, even in the base variants.
Another welcome addition is the rear camera, which is conveniently placed in the middle of the spare alloy wheel. It should improve visibility while reversing, especially in off-road conditions.
The Thar continues to offer a hydraulic steering system, which may disappoint those hoping for an electric steering wheel upgrade. However, the inclusion of the twin-peaks logo on the steering wheel is a nice touch, already available on the older Thar 3 Door Facelift models.
Mahindra Thar Facelift offers several features that can be retrofitted, including power windows on the side panel, armrest, grab door handles, and even a fuel lid opener button. While these may seem like simple updates, they could make a big difference to users looking for customization.
A new rear wiper has been added to the Thar, though its impact might be minimal since the rear glass is flat, offering good visibility even in the rain. On the other hand, the rear defogger will definitely come in handy during foggy conditions.

The 2025 Bolero Facelift promises a more refined experience, both in terms of design and technology.
One of the most significant updates in the Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift is the new interior. The dashboard layout will be revised, and the highlight will be a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen that will offer wireless connectivity. This is a big step up from the previous setup, bringing modern tech to this rugged SUV.
The exterior of the Bolero Neo facelift will see a refreshed front end with a modified grille featuring prominent horizontal slats. Additionally, a new lower bumper will house a revised air intake, enhancing the SUV's bold look.
Under the hood, the 2025 Bolero Neo Facelift will continue to be powered by the reliable 1.5L, 3-cylinder mHawk 100 turbo diesel engine. With 100hp and 260Nm of torque, the engine will continue to offer the performance that the Bolero Neo is known for. Transmission options are expected to include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit.
