Mahindra to Launch Scorpio N Facelift and Mini Scorpio by March 2027

Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift launch likely by festive season, 2026 Vision S based compact SUV arriving in early 2027

The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra is preparing to launch two new SUVs, including the Scorpio-N facelift in the country by the end of this financial year. The company will also introduce the production version of the Vision S in the first quarter of 2027. Rumoured to be the smallest member of the Scorpio family, the Mahindra Vision S concept based SUV is likely to be revealed at the next year’s, 2027 Auto Expo in February.

The updated Scorpio-N is currently undergoing rigorous testing, and has already been spotted multiple times. While the exact launch timeline is yet to be announced, Mahindra could target festive season, around Diwali to launch the new Scorpio-N. It is likely to to receive minimal design changes and an upgraded cabin with a longer list of features; however, the engine setup will remain the same.

Inside the cabin, the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift will receive a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new digital driver’s display, a redesigned central console with repositioned AC vents, and armrests for front and rear occupants. The SUV will continue to feature the 203bhp 2.0L turbo petrol and 175bhp, 2.2L diesel engines paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatics. The 4X4 drivetrain system will continue to be offered only on the higher trims. The SUV could also get the ‘DaVinci’ dampers, which debuted on the XUV 7XO.

Mahindra Vision S Launch Q1, 2027

The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra will launch its first model based on the NU_IQ modular platform in Q1, 2027. The production version of the Mahindra Vision S is expected to revealed at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Expo. It carries a boxy, upright silhouette that is commonly associated with legendary SUVs like Scorpio and Defender. The spy images reveal that the SUV will look largely identical to the original concept that debuted in 2025.

The new Mahindra Vision S compact SUV will be based on the new modular, monocoque architecture, called NU_IQ, which is compatible with different body styles and powertrains, including hybrid, EV and ICE. It will sit between the XUV 3XO and Scorpio N, and is built for person who wants a rugged lifestyle SUV. The SUV is expected to borrow the 1.2L TGDi petrol and 1.5L diesel engines from the XUV 3XO. The SUV will also get a hybrid and an electric version at a later stage.
