Mahindra adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to XEV 9e and BE6 as standard Update available across all variants; no post-delivery patch needed for new buyers Over 11,000 units delivered; XEV 9e leads with 59% of total bookings
Mahindra has added a much-awaited feature to its electric SUVs — the XEV 9e and BE6. Both models now come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making smartphone connectivity easier and more seamless for users. This upgrade is part of a major software update and is now included in all new deliveries.
The new wireless feature is available across all versions of the XEV 9e and BE6 — from the base Pack One to the top-end Pack Three. Mahindra has confirmed that all factory-dispatched cars now come with this feature pre-installed, so buyers don’t need to worry about future updates or software patches.
This addresses one of the most common complaints from early buyers who had been waiting for this functionality since launch.
The wireless system is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip and works with the cars’ modern infotainment setup. Both SUVs offer dual 12.3-inch displays, support for 5G, built-in apps, and remote vehicle control. This upgrade makes the tech experience in these EVs even more advanced.
Existing owners may need to visit a dealership for the update. Mahindra is yet to confirm if it will be available over-the-air.
The XEV 9e is priced from Rs 21.9 lakh and focuses on luxury and comfort. It has a coupe-style design, triple screens, AR-based head-up display, and Level 2+ driver assistance. It offers a range of 656 km and features a 16-speaker sound system.
The BE6 starts at Rs 18.9 lakh and offers a sportier drive. It comes with rear-wheel drive, a 0-100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds, a unique “Boost” mode, and a 683 km range. Its design is inspired by fighter jets and focuses more on performance.
Strong Demand and Growing Numbers
At launch, the XEV 9e and BE6 received over 30,000 bookings in just one day. Mahindra has shipped more than 11,000 units so far. The XEV 9e is more popular, with 59% of total bookings, while the BE6 makes up the remaining 41%.
Mahindra is increasing production to meet demand and reduce the waiting period.
