Mahindra & Mahindra’s first born electric SUVs – BE 6 and XEV 9e - finally gone on sale with their complete price reveal a few days ago. Bookings for these EVs will start form 14th February, and deliveries of the top-end Pack Three variants are slated to begin from mid-March, followed by the Pack Three Select, Pack Two and Pack One. We have already analysed the most value-for-money variant of the Mahindra BE 6 in our previous thread. Now, take a look which variant of the Mahindra XEV 9e is the most sensible choice.

Price - Rs 21.90 lakh
Battery - 59kWh
Range - 542km
Verdict: The entry-level Pack One variant covers most of the must-have features along with some advanced goodies including connected car tech, OTA updates, wireless smartphone support, all digital instrument cluster, built-in Amazon Alexa and more. However, it misses out on the power driver seat, front parking sensors, 360 degree camera, rear window curtains, rear defogger, keyless entry, TPMS and parcel tray. With a price tag of Rs 21.90 lakh, the base variant of the XEV 9e offers a decent value for money. However, we recommend upgrading to a higher variant to access features such as alloys and glass roof.
Price - Rs 24.90 lakh
Battery - 59kWh
Range - 542km
Verdict: The Pack Two trim, with its number of value-added features, offers excellent value for money and enhances the overall ownership experience. It is priced nearly Rs 3 lakh than the base variant, making it our highly recommended option. However, if you looking for a more premium experience, we suggest you to go for the higher trim.
Price - Rs 27.90 lakh
Battery - 59kWh
Range - 542km
Verdict: The Pack Three provides you access to nearly all advanced and functional features of the electric SUV. However, it is only available only with the smaller 59kWh battery pack. You need to stretch you budget further to own it.
Price - Rs 30.50 lakh
Battery - 79kWh
Range - 656km
Verdict: The top-end Pack Three is the only variant available with the bigger 79kWh battery pack. If you want to take advantage of XEV 9e’s premium quotient to the fullest, the Pack Three trim is a right choice for you. Though, this premium experience comes at a cost of Rs 30.50 lakh.
