Mahindra to launch Scorpio-N facelift and updated BE 6 on August 15 Production-version Vision S could be revealed on Independence Day
Following its tradition, Mahindra is ready to introduce 3 new SUVs on the occasion of Independence Day, 2026. The company will launch the much-awaited Scorpio-N facelift along with an updated Mahindra BE 6. The big update is that the homegrown automaker will also present the production version of the Vision S Concept on August 15, 2026. Mahindra could also showcase the near-production version of the BE 7 electric SUV; however, the company is yet to make an official announcement on the same.
The homegrown automaker, Mahindra is expected to launch the much-awaited Scorpio-N facelift on August 15, 2026. It won’t receive significant design changes, except for the new set of alloy wheels. Majority of the changes will be made inside the cabin, as it will get the much-demanded Panoramic Sunroof. The cabin will have all-new dashboard layout, featuring a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen with better user interface and fast processing, and a new 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display that can show full-screen navigation and ADAS alerts.
The new Scorpio-N facelift will also get a HD 360-degree surround view camera. It is also likely to get a “blind-view monitor” that activates when you use the turn signals. The SUV could also get ventilated front seats and electrically adjustable driver’s seat. It will have premium Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos for immersive sound experience. The SUV will continue with the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired with manual and automatic transmission options.
Mahindra is likely to launch the mildly updated BE 6 pure electric SUV on August 15. It is expected that the new electric SUV Coupe will be equipped with a triple screen dashboard as seen in the XEV 9S, XEV 9e and the ICE-powered XUV 7XO. Mahindra is also likely to remove the distinctive halo design effect that separates the driver and co-driver in the current model. The Coupe-SUV will have new black-and tan colour upholstery.
The production version of the Vision S concept based sub-4 meter SUV is also expected to debut on August 15, 2026. The SUV is currently undergoing extreme testing, and the spy images suggest that the final model will remain true to the concept. It will be the first model to be designed and developed on Mahindra’s all-new NU_IQ architecture. The SUV will continue to offer tall and boxy stance with flared wheel arches, flatter roof and tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
It will be marketed as a lifestyle SUV, and will target the upcoming Renault Bridger and Tata Scarlet. It is rumoured to be the smallest member of the Scorpio family, and could be called the Scorpio Sport. The Mahindra Vision S is likely to be offered with the brand’s proven 1.5L, four-cylinder diesel engine that also powers the XUV 3XO. Its petrol version will get the 1.2L turbo unit. Mahindra is also planning to launch its EV and hybrid versions in future.
