Mahindra XUV300 Facelift to Launch in India by February 2024

2023 has been a silent year for Mahindra cars, which started off the year with the launch of the Thar RWD. But 2024 is set to be an exciting year for the company that is committed to introducing new products in the market.

Earlier we had confirmed that the Thar 5-door would go on sale along with the first-Born Electric models before the end of 2024. But new reports confirm that the XUV300 is also expected to launch in Q1 2024 with an EV version expected to hit the markets in June 2024.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Design Details

New rumours suggest that the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 Facelift will feature an updated exterior design that will be in sync with the Born electric models showcased by the company in 2022. The new design language will help bring the SUV up to speed for 2024 and make it stand out from the heavily crowded compact SUV segment.

Up front, the new model will get a more angular nose and connected LED light bar that will enhance the overall premium quotient on the SUV. Other new elements will include a sleeker LED headlamp unit, a redesigned grille and bumper. While exact details are still under wraps, we expect the rear end to feature a smoother tailgate with a connected brake lightbar and a new C-shaped wraparound LED taillight.

Earlier spy shots have confirmed that the 7.0-inch screen on the current model will make way for a larger 10.25-inch unit forcing a complete redesign of the dashboard. We can also expect a larger sunroof along with a new wireless charger and connected car tech. To keep costs in check the company could skip ADAS or 360-degree camera on the model.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Powertrain

The biggest change on the 2024 Mahindra XUV300 Facelift will be the introduction of a new Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque convertor automatic with the 1.2-litre TGDI engine that will do works on the Turbo Sport models. Excluding this the BS6.2 ready 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre NA petrol engine will continue with the 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox option.

Details about the Mahindra XUV300 EV are still under wraps. But the new model will sit below the Mahindra XUV400 EV and feature a smaller battery pack.
