Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automaker, has launched the new Alto K10 S-CNG in the country. Priced at Rs 5.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the car is offered in a single VXI variant. Launched in August 2022, the Alto K10 has quickly become the best-selling car in India with over 21,000 units sold.
At the launch, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “The Alto brand has been a symbol of how Maruti Suzuki has evolved in response to customers' shifting desires. The Alto continued to be the best-selling vehicle in the country for 16 consecutive years, and we are convinced that the launch of the S-CNG model will further strengthen its appeal, thanks to its stellar fuel-efficiency.”
He further added, “I am delighted to share that we have sold more than 1 million S-CNG vehicles so far, which has helped save over 1 million tons of CO2 emissions.
The Alto K10 S-CNG is only available in the VXI mid-spec variant and comes equipped with power windows, power steering, speed-sensing door locks, Smartplay dock with two speakers, and more. Standard safety equipment includes ABS and dual airbags.

Maruti claims a fuel-efficiency figure of 33.85 km/kg for the new Alto K10 S-CNG.
The Alto K10 S-CNG is priced at Rs 5.95 lakh (ex-showroom), making its Rs 96,000 more expensive than the equivalent petrol variant. This is Maruti’s 13th CNG model and follows the launch of the Nexa’s first CNG models, the Baleno and XL6 S-CNG. Currently the company is gearing up to launch the Grand Vitara S-CNG variant in the country.
