Mercedes Benz has announced the launch of the EQE SUV in India today. Available in only the EQE 500 4Matic variant, the SUV is priced at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). The EQE is the third electric model from the brand after EQB and EQS.

The new EQE SUV shares a similar design to the Mercedes-Benz EQ family, showing sleek lines and clean curves. A sealed-off front grille and aerodynamic wheels are other functional styling cues that are carried over from other EVs.
In terms of dimensions, the SUV has a length of 4,863mm and a height of 1,685mm with a wheelbase of 3,030mm.

Moving on to the inside, the EQE 500 comes equipped with a Mercedes' 56-inch Hyperscreen (as standard) which includes three screens on the dashboard.
Apart from this, you get a 15-speaker Burmester sound system, massage functions for the front seats, a high-efficiency particulate air filter for the cabin, and ADAS.
Being the only top-spec variant, the EQE 500 SUV is powered by a dual-motor AWD setup. The two-motor setup can produce 408 bhp and 858 Nm of torque. Moreover, it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 210 kmph.
Paired with a 90kWh battery pack, the SUV provides a maximum claimed range of 550 km on a single charge.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 rivals the BMW iX, Jaguar I-Pace, and Audi Q8 e-tron in India.
