The long-awaited MG Cyberster electric sports car will finally go on sale in the country before the end of June 2025. It is expected to be launched in the last week of this month; however, JSW MG Motor India is yet to make an official statement on the same.
Interested buyers can book the new 2-door convertible electric sports car online at MG Select website or at authorised MG dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000. This electric sports car will be exclusively retailed through the MG Select premium dealership network. In the first phase, MG will have 12 Select experience centres across the country.
The new Cyberster electric sports car is expected to be priced around Rs 60 lakh. It will be the country’s most affordable sports car. The EV won’t have a direct rival and will act as a Halo product for JSW MG Motor India.
The MG Cyberster is packed with a 77kWh battery pack with dual electric motors to offer an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. It is claimed to offer a maximum usable power and torque of 510bhp and 725Nm, respectively. The electric sports car is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 3.2 seconds. In CLTC cycle, the electric car is claimed to offer a range of up to 580km on a full charge.
The electric sports car is fitted with a front double wishbone and a five-link independent suspension unit at the rear. It has a 50:50 front and rear weight distribution, which improves the car’s high-speed stability.
