Hyundai has recently revealed its plans to launch 26 new models - including 20 ICE-powered cars and 6 electric vehicles by the end of this decade. The company will introduce several brand new models along with new generation upgrades and mid-life facelifts of existing cars. Hyundai will launch the new-gen Venue and Bayon crossover in the country in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
The new-gen Hyundai Venue is expected to be launched by October 2025. It has been caught testing multiple times, revealing key changes and upgrades. Internally codenamed QU2i, the new Venue will retain its boxy design; however, it will have cleaner lines and fewer creases. The SUV will have an all-new front fascia with a less angular design. It has an all-new bumper, a signature rectangular-patterned grille and a new split LED headlamp setup.
The side profile has new pronounced wheel arches with thick cladding, new wing mirrors, and new 16-inch diamond-cut alloys. The 2026 Hyundai Venue will have a new rear profile that houses new tailgate design, connected LED tail-lights and longer roof spoiler, and a new lower bumper with multiple parking sensors.
The SUV will share its features with the Kia Syros. It will have a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, sliding and reclining second-row seats, LEVEL 2 ADAS and a bigger connected screen. The SUV is likely to retain its existing engine options, including a 118bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol, a 99bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel and an 82bhp, 1.2L NA petrol.
The Korean automaker, Hyundai will introduce the Bayon crossover in the Indian market in 2026. The India-bound Bayon has recently been caught testing in South Korea. In India, the crossover will sit below 4 meters and will rival the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
The new model will continue to have crossover styling with many elements shared with the global-spec Bayon. The global-spec model comes with an all-black interior with features shared with other Hyundai models. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a dedicated HVAC control panel, a multi-functional steering wheel, etc.
In terms of features, the crossover has OTA, wireless phone charging, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, ambient lighting and ADAS. The India-spec Hyundai Bayon is likely to be packed with a new 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is claimed to be hybrid ready. The crossover could also get the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol or a 1.2L NA petrol.
