The new Renault Boreal will share its cabin features and layout with the new-gen Duster SUV. Positioned above the Duster, the new Boreal could get more premium features. Some of the features will include a 10.1-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a fully-digital driver’s display. It could get a panoramic sunroof, powered driver’s seat, a powered tailgate, 2-zone climate control, and ADAS suite.
The global-spec Boreal is likely to share the powertrain options with the Duster SUV, which includes a 1.2L turbo petrol with mild-hybrid tech, a 1.3L turbo petrol, a 1.6L strong hybrid and LPG. The India-spec model will get the tried & tested 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 151bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. Also See - 325bhp, Honda Civic Type-R is heading to India
