Skoda is bringing back one of its most iconic performance sedans, the Octavia RS, to India in November 2025. After being discontinued in 2023, the new 2025 model promises even more power and features, making it an exciting choice for car enthusiasts.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s new with the Skoda Octavia RS, its performance highlights, and pricing details.
Skoda Octavia RS 2025 continues with the tried and tested 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing an impressive 265hp and 370Nm of torque. This powertrain allows the Octavia RS to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 6.4 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox for a swift and responsive driving experience.
The performance is further boosted with a 15 mm lower stance compared to the standard model. It features a sports chassis, stiffer dampers, and a more agile steering setup. The larger 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels come wrapped in performance-oriented tyres, offering superior grip and handling. Additionally, the RS variant features a dynamic chassis control, which improves ride quality and driving dynamics. A sports exhaust system is included, enhancing the engine note for a more aggressive sound.
Skoda has made sure the Octavia RS 2025 stands out with its sportier design. The exterior of the RS variant comes with gloss black accents, an RS-specific grille and badge, matrix LED headlights, and a rear diffuser with dual exhaust tips. These elements give the car a more aggressive and sportier stance, making it different from the regular Octavia.
Inside, the RS variant features sporty seats with lumbar support, exclusive RS badging, aluminium pedals, and suede/artificial leather upholstery with red contrast stitching. These features provide a more dynamic and race-inspired cabin, enhancing the overall sporty feel of the car.
The 2025 Octavia RS is equipped with a 13-inch infotainment system, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The car also boasts adaptive cruise control, up to 10 airbags, and a head-up display to keep the driver informed and safe. Additionally, a premium Canton audio system is available as an optional upgrade for those who want an enhanced audio experience.
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be priced between Rs 49 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). This price range puts the RS in competition with other performance sedans like the BMW 330i M Sport, Mercedes-AMG A35, and Audi A4 40 TFSI. However, the Octavia RS will be available in limited quantities, likely around 200 units, as it will be brought to India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), making it a premium offering with a higher price tag due to import duties and taxes.
